The price depends on how many SQL Server instances are audited. Everything is a fixed package: no day is billed separately.

For reference, the audit itself runs from €1,490 for a single instance to under €150 per instance at 20 instances, once bundled add-ons are deducted.
We count SQL Server instances, not servers: one instance is one sqlservr service. A server hosting two named instances therefore counts as two. An Azure SQL Managed Instance counts as one instance; for Azure SQL Database, one logical server counts as one instance. Non-production instances (development, staging) count as half an instance, rounded up on the total.

6-month engagement. Annual formula: 10 months billed, 12 months covered. The first month is included from the Fleet tier and commits you to nothing: it starts at the debrief, the engagement only begins if you carry on.

Not included
- Emergency response on a stopped instance or an ongoing incident. That is a separate engagement, started without waiting for an audit.
- Carrying out the fixes. We show what to do and in which order; your team executes. Remediation by us is a separate engagement, by quote.
- An exhaustive review of your application code and business queries. The audit examines the database and how it is run, not your application line by line.
- Continuous monitoring. An audit is a measurement at a point in time; following it over time is what the advisory and the control re-audit are for.
- A GDPR or NIS2 certification. Those frameworks are mostly organisational: we honestly document the technical share carried by your databases, we issue no compliance attestation.
How it unfolds
Scoping
A 30-minute call settles the number of instances, the versions and your constraints. The scope is fixed before any invoice.
Order
Quote signed, a 50% deposit by bank transfer, the balance at the debrief. Collection starts once the deposit arrives — no time-and-materials, no overruns: the quoted package is the final price.
Collection
You run the collector yourself on your servers. Nothing leaves your environment automatically: you send us the file it produces.
Debrief
The reports are produced as soon as the collection reaches us. The video call is scheduled within five business days. In practice, expect two to three weeks from scoping to debrief, depending on how long the collection takes you.

How do you count instances?
- One instance is one sqlservr service. Two named instances on the same server count as two. An Azure SQL Managed Instance counts as one instance; for Azure SQL Database, one logical server counts as one instance. Non-production instances count as half an instance.
Which SQL Server versions are covered?
- SQL Server 2016 to 2025. The report states explicitly what could not be assessed — because of the privileges granted, or because the check does not apply to your version — rather than counting it as a failure.
Do we need an in-house DBA to run the collection?
- No. The collector runs with a read-only account whose privileges you choose, and a 30-minute video session is included to run it with you if needed.
What data leaves our environment?
- None, automatically. The collector produces a file that you review and send to us yourself. It reads system catalogues and diagnostic views — the configuration, metadata and operating statistics of your instances — never the contents of your business tables.
How long between the order and the debrief?
- The reports are produced as soon as the collection reaches us, and the video call is scheduled within five business days. In practice, expect two to three weeks from scoping, depending on how long you take to run the collection.
How does payment work?
